Kyocera Mita Corporation would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to the people in the areas affected by the devastating earthquake in the north-eastern part of Japan.
The Kyocera Mita Group has seven representative sales offices in the affected areas, however we confirmed that there are no cases of significant injuries to employees working at any of these sites.
Our facilities other than sales offices, such as manufacturing plants and R&D facilities, are not located in the affected areas, so it is a consolation that these facilities did not suffer any material damage by the earthquake and tsunami. Except for some minor infrastructural problems relating to the uncertainty of electricity supply or logistics, there are no obstacles to the continuity of our production as of this moment.
The earthquake and subsequent tsunami is one of the greatest national disasters in the history of Japan and can be labeled as a national crisis, but we believe that Japan can overcome any hardships by joining forces nationwide, and with the heartwarming support of the international community. Kyocera Mita will do everything in our power to contribute to the swift recovery of the areas affected by the disaster.
