Basic Purchasing Policy
KYOCERA Document Solutions has set forth the basic policies of purchasing activities in the KYOCERA Document Solutions Basic Purchasing Policy. We distribute to all our suppliers the KYOCERA Document Solutions Basic Purchasing Policy, which also includes our requests to our suppliers regarding compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the promotion of environmental conservation activities.
We consider all suppliers to be our essential business partners, who have specialized knowledge and technologies. We aim to become a good partner for each of our suppliers and to achieve coexistence and co-prosperity with them, in a spirit of fairness and of benefiting self and others, in accord with the Kyocera Philosophy.
In selecting suppliers, we evaluate suppliers comprehensively against pre-established criteria, such as: demonstration of understanding of the fundamental thinking of KYOCERA Document Solutions, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, technological development ability, environmental performance, financial stability, product and service quality, reliability, price, delivery reliability, and after-sales service
To ensure full compliance with the Subcontract Act, we provide in-house training for the purchasing staff, and subcontract management staff at each business site. Furthermore, each department conducts regular inspections to determine whether any legal violation has occurred in daily operations. To complement regular self-inspections by departments, the Audit Department conducts an annual internal audit for each department. We always keep up-to-date with the revision of relevant laws and regulations and other latest information, by actively participating in seminars organized by the Japan Fair Trade Commission and the National Association of Trade Promotion for Small and Medium Enterprises.
