Winning prizes
During FY2010, KYOCERA Document Solutions U.K. received three awards respectively from outside organizations including Green IT Magazine, as a result of the company's remarkable environmental efforts. All of our business units and affiliates all over the world will continue to promote environmental commitment.
Our A4 color printer FS-C5250DN was selected as the Hardware Product of the Year during the Green IT Magazine Awards 2011 presented by Green IT Magazine of the United Kingdom. This magazine was established to assist companies in making efforts to cope with environmental regulations, amid increasing public interest in corporate responsibilities for environmental commitment.
Our FS-C5250DN requires much less electricity when compared to its predecessor model, and moreover, its combined use of a positively charged photosensitive system and a roller charging system helps reduce ozone emissions. In addition, the improvements made to the drum engine and the paper transportation system respectively have led to reduced noises of the drive motion. The award proves that our pursuit of environment-friendliness in product development is highly evaluated. Also, KYOCERA Document Solutions U.K. was awarded as the runner-up in the Manufacturer of the Year commendation in the Green IT Project of the Year category, for its comprehensive implementation of environmental measures.

We are delighted that the readers of Green IT Magazine have recognized the environmental strengths of the FS-C5250DN. Also, we are honored that KYOCERA Document Solutions was recognized in two further categories. At the same time, we have further enhanced our resolution that we should continue to fulfill our corporate responsibility of making commitment to environmental issues.

In October 2010, KYOCERA Document Solutions U.K. won two "environment" awards. One of them was the Sustainable Supplier of the Year (in the Office Products category) which is one of the Sustainable FM Awards presented by British environmental advocator Sustainable FM Magazine.
The other one was the BOSS Industry Environment Award which is one of the BOSS Industry Awards presented by the BOSS (British Office Supplies and Services) Federation. The BOSS Federation is the authoritative body for the U.K. office products industry, having a membership of more than 60 manufacturers and 1,000 dealers.
While the Sustainable FM Awards are designed for environment-conscious companies, the BOSS Industry Awards are for those individuals or corporate entities engaged in the office product business and recognized as having made remarkable achievements.
Both of these awards praise our ECOSYS printers' distinguished performance of mitigating environmental impacts through waste reduction mechanisms. The acquisition of these two awards proves that the superior environmental strengths of ECOSYS printers are widely recognized.
