Kyocera Mita Corporation Announces Changes to Board of Directors

Osaka, Japan: Kyocera Mita Corporation, one of the world's leading providers of network printers, copiers and multifunctional systems, today announced changes to its Board of Directors.

Effective from the end of June this year, Mr. Koji Seki, currently President of Kyocera Mita Corporation, will assume the position of Chairman while Mr. Tetsuo Okada, currently Managing Director and President of Kyocera Mita Europe B.V., will become President of Kyocera Mita Corporation.

Since transferring from Kyocera Corporation to be trustee of copier manufacturer Mita Industrial Corporation (name changed shortly after to Kyocera Mita Corporation) in August 1998, Koji Seki has overseen the recovery and transformation of the business. Under his leadership, the global development, production and sales operations of Kyocera's printer division were successfully merged with Kyocera Mita to make one fully integrated document management company. Since financial year 2001, Kyocera Mita has achieved impressive year-on-year sales growth and double-digit profits.

Commenting on Testuo Okada's appointment, Koji Seki said, "Mr. Okada has an impressive technical background and has achieved success in expanding Kyocera Mita's market position in Europe. I have no doubt that he will be an excellent president and take Kyocera Mita forward into new era of development and growth."

Tetsuo Okada joined Kyocera Corporation in 1979 and was shortly promoted to manager within the project planning and development division. In 1993 he was appointed President of Kyocera Electronics Europe GmbH (Germany), which was then responsible for the sales and marketing of Kyocera laser printers in Germany and a number of other countries In February 2001, he was appointed President of Kyocera Mita Europe B.V., and in June 2003 he was appointed Managing Director of Kyocera Mita Corporation.
