KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand Donating food for flood victims

KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand made donations to aid victims of the floods that occurred in Thailand in mid-October 2010. Heavy rain triggered floods in many provinces in the northeast and south of Thailand. It is estimated that more than two million people were affected by the floods. KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand employees conducted a donation campaign for the flood victims, collecting a total of 39,524 baht (about 1,300 dollars) including cash donations from the company, as well as food and water. Donated food and water, along with foods purchased with cash donations, were distributed to flood victims through Thai TV station Channel 3.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand Donating 100kg of aluminum to the Prostheses Foundation of Thailand

In June 2010, KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand donated about 100 kg of aluminum, collected from used service parts, to the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother. The Foundation is a public organization established in 1992 by Srinagarindra the Princess Mother of Thailand, and provides free prostheses for people who lost their legs due to unexpected accidents or other causes, regardless of nationality or religion. From August 1992 to January 2010, the Foundation provided a total of about 24,000 prostheses to amputees.

In support of the aims of the Foundation, KYOCERA Document Solutions Thailand began aluminum collection activities in fiscal 2009. The aluminum donated to the Foundation will be melted and used for joints, screws, nuts and other components of prostheses. The Company intends to proactively continue social contribution activities in the future.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Australia Supporting fundraising activities for cancer research

In Australia, a charity event called Daffodil Day is held each year. The purpose of Daffodil Day is to raise funds for cancer research and financial assistance for cancer patients and their families.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Australia has participated in this charity event since 2001. On August 27, 2010, an event for Daffodil Day was held in the company, where the event's organizer Christine Morrison sold fresh daffodils, teddy bears, pens and other Daffodil Day merchandise. The receipts from sales were donated to a cancer research institute.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Australia will continue to actively support Daffodil Day in the future.
