KYOCERA Document Solutions America collected monetary and food donations from its employees to donate to a food bank in New Jersey. It is said that approximately 15% of the U.S. population are facing food shortages. Food banks are non-profit organizations that collect food donations from food companies and individuals to help people suffering from food shortages. Currently there are more than 200 food banks across the United States. Donated foods are distributed to the hungry through local charitable organizations.
KYOCERA Document Solutions America has supported this activity since 2008. This year, KYOCERA Document Solutions America called upon its employees for donations in July and November. In July, 14 shopping bags of food and cash donations of 235 dollars were collected; in November, 218 kg of food and cash donations of 20 dollars were collected. A certificate of appreciation was awarded from the food bank in New Jersey. KYOCERA Document Solutions America will continue its support for the food banks.


As in 2009, KYOCERA Document Solutions America employees participated in "Lee National Denim Day" on October 8, 2010 to support breast cancer patients.
Lee National Denim Day is a nationwide fundraising campaign for breast cancer. On Denim Day, employees are allowed to wear jeans to work in exchange for a 5 dollar donation. Contributions raised in 2010 totaled about 1,300 dollars.
