The KYOCERA Document Solutions Group is actively engaged in donation and fundraising activities year round. In March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake struck, causing devastating damage over extensive areas. Since the immediate wake of the disaster, we have provided supplies and funding to aid the recovery of the affected communities. Monetary and in-kind donations have been received from employees of our Group companies throughout the world, as well as from our sponsored soccer clubs overseas. Fundraising activities for disaster victims are spreading across the world through our global network.

To assist those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, we donated relief supplies collected from our employees (1,198 towels, 73 blankets, and 1,126 food and beverage items) to the affected areas through Osaka City Hall, Yao City Hall and Mino City Social Welfare Council.

To support those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, KYOCERA Document Solutions solicited donations from employees at all Group companies in Japan and abroad. As of April 6, 2011, a total of about 17.5 million yen (approx. 208,000 dollars) was raised from 18 countries around the world. These donations were sent to the affected areas through support organizations from the respective countries. The Kyocera Group as a whole donated a total of 100 million yen(approx. 1.2 million dollars).

In sympathy with the intentions of the club, KYOCERA Document Solutions Germany donated a matching amount. Furthermore, at a match against Kaiserslautern on March 18, Borussia Mönchengladbach members called upon spectators for donations, raising about 540,000 yen (approx. 4,500 euros). These donations were sent to Japan through the German Red Cross to support the recovery of the affected regions.

Atlético de Madrid, a professional football club in Spain sponsored by KYOCERA Document Solutions Spain, held a one minute silence before its match against Real Madrid C.F. on March 19, 2011, to pray for early recovery of the people and areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Before the match, a giant flag for the disaster relief donation campaign was spread out on the pitch, and the team's leading player Agüero appealed to spectators for donations for earthquake victims.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Japan made donations to Ishigaki City and Yaeyama-gun (Taketomi Town and Yonaguni Town) for the protection of the environment. The offshore areas of Ishigaki City and Yaeyama-gun are internationally valuable coral habitats where several hundreds of coral species are found. However, both areas face serious environmental problems such as red soil runoff, which causes severe damage to coral reefs.
The donations are used to support activities to prevent red soil runoff and other environmental problems.

KYOCERA Document Solutions Japan donated a total of 190,000 yen to Ishigaki City and Yaeyama-gun.
