Energy Conservation Efforts
In FY 2021, we continued our energy-saving activities with a focus on saving electricity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These initiatives included upgrading elevators and replacing the drive belts on pumps in the wastewater treatment facility with more energy-efficient ones. We also revamped our toner and drum production facilities to reduce power consumption.

Efforts to Reduce Industrial Waste
Separating plastic and composite waste into more categories enabled us to recycle 20% of total waste by weight in FY 2021. In addition, we recycled 63% by weight of waste toner (not fit for commercialization) generated during production and sorted/reused wooden pallets that had previously been disposed of as wood waste. This resulted in a waste reduction of approximately eight tons.

Efforts to Reduce Water Use
The men's and women's toilets on the 3rd floor of Plant No. 3 were upgraded to water-saving models. This resulted in a reduction in water consumption of 169 m3 per year.
