Environmental Activities and Results
We are working hard to conserve the environment, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and making effective use of resources, in order to coexist harmoniously with society, our global community and nature ("Living Together").

Energy Conservation Efforts
We installed a temperature and humidity indicator panel to ensure that the air conditioning settings in the plant are appropriate. The floor temperature control staff adjust the setting if the room temperature becomes excessively low. To prevent wasting energy from lights left on in empty rooms, we installed a motion sensor in a room where employees store frequently used dishes and food so that the lights stay on only when it is in use.

Efforts to Reduce Industrial Waste
We changed the agglutination test method for toner. Now, instead of vacuuming up the toner used for testing and discarding it, we reuse it as a marketable product. This resulted in a 1 ,556 kg reduction of waste toner per year.

Efforts to Reduce Water Use

When cleaning the water storage tank, we adjust the water level before cleaning to reduce the amount of water to be drained from the tank. We also improved signs reminding people to choose the appropriate flush setting.

Promoting Biodiversity Conservation Activities
As part of its Biodiversity conservation efforts, the Vietnam Plant is growing rau ngót, a native Vietnamese leafy vegetable, on its premises. The harvested vegetable is served to employees during lunch.
