Can I print and scan by using an Android device with NFC?
Yes, you can execute Mobile Print features by tapping the Android device on the printing device's NFC tag.
How do I print a photo?
Photos can be accessed through the app's Photos window, by selecting an Album and then a specific photo. If your mobile device includes a built-in camera, you can take a new photo to print or email by selecting Camera. Once you've selected or taken a photo, you can adjust print options. You can select multiple photos to print at one time.
How do I print a document?
Documents can be accessed through the app's Documents window or a supported external service. To access existing documents, select Documents or one of the external services (Dropbox, Evernote, Microsoft 365, Google Drive, or Shared Folder). Once you've selected a document, you can adjust print options.
What types of files can I print?
You can print .BMP, .HTML (iOS only), .JPG, .PNG, .PDF, .TIFF, .TXT, and .XPS files. On iOS devices, you can also print .RTF files, as well as iWork (Keynote, Numbers, and Pages), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), or Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) file types. On Android devices, .TXT files print at lower resolution.
What printing options are available through the app?
The print quality options supported in the app are Normal, Draft, and High (B&W models only). Paper size options are Letter, Legal, Ledger, Statement, A3, A4, A5, A6, Folio, B4, B5, B6, and Hagaki. You can also select the number of copies to print, number of pages per sheet, and page range. Additional options are displayed in Printing Preferences based on the printing device model.
Can I select the paper source?
Yes, but only in relation to media type. The app defaults to Auto for paper source. You can select from up to 7 cassettes (device dependent) and the MP Tray. If the media type selected is not in the selected source, the type/source combo will be used to print the job.
Paper source selection does not affect page size. The app sends print jobs to the default paper source unless the chosen page size is not in the selected source. In that case the source with the selected page size will be used for the job.
Can I select the media type?
Yes. There is a long list of media types to choose from, including Auto.
How do I view stored photos or documents in Mobile Print?
On iOS devices, you can access stored photos in the Photos window, stored documents in the Documents window, or by accessing a supported external service. On Android devices, you can access stored photos or documents in your specified download folder or in the default /sdcard/Download folder.
Where do I save a new scan?
On iOS devices, new scans are saved in the app's Documents window or you can select a supported external service or shared folder. On Android devices, new scans are saved in your specified download folder or in the default /sdcard/Download folder.
What file formats are supported for scanning?
You can scan documents for output in .JPG, .TIFF, and .PDF formats.
Can I email scanned files?
You can use your mobile device's email app to send scanned files that you have saved on your mobile device or to a supported external service. On iOS devices, you can attach saved scans to an email message and send via the device's native Mail app. On Android devices, you can attach saved scans to an email message using any email app that you have installed on your device.
Can I use the Scan function when KYOCERA Net Manager is enabled?
Yes, but you can only perform the Scan function with Direct Queue.

What is Job accounting?
Job accounting lets the system administrator keep track of all print and scan jobs initiated by users. This feature is available on compatible printing devices. Job accounting can be turned on or off on the app, but must also be set on the device by an Administrator. With job accounting on, you can select Prompt for account ID to require entry of an Account ID.
What printing protocols are supported?
RAW (port 9100), IPP (port 631), and IPPS (SSL port 443) are supported. On iOS devices, you can designate a printing protocol by selecting . On Android devices, within the app, select . The printing protocol selected for your mobile device and printing device must match. If you are not sure which protocol is used by your printing device, contact your system administrator.
Is there a limit to the number of pages that can be scanned via the app on Android devices?
On compatible Android devices with at least 512MB of RAM, the app can scan up to 60 pages at A4/color/200 dpi or 15 pages at A3/color/600 dpi.
Can the app print PDF documents containing multiple pages with differing paper sizes?
With iOS devices, yes. With Android devices, not in one pass. In the latter case, the app can only accurately print one particular page size per print job. If your PDF document contains pages having different sizes, consider grouping pages by size and sending each group as a separate print job.
Can I scan using an IPv6 address?
With Android devices, while you can use IPv6 to select and connect to a scanning device, some printing devices will not scan when connected using IPv6. If you have trouble scanning with an Android device, try using IPv4 to select the scanning device.
iOS devices will scan when connected using IPv6.
Why am I only able to print the first worksheet in my Microsoft Excel workbook from iOS device?
Printing multiple worksheets from a Microsoft Excel workbook is not supported by Mobile Print. We recommend that you use AirPrint.
