Reduce CO2 emissions by 960 tons per year. A solar power generation system is now fully activated at Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc.

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc.(President:Hironori Ando; hereinafter:Kyocera) is pleased to announce that the solar power generation system installed at Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. is now fully activated.
We plan to reduce CO2 emissions by 960 tons per year by installing a large-scale solar system on the roof of our building in New Jersey, USA. We also expect to reduce CO2 emissions by 19,185 tons (equivalent to planting 287,000 trees) over the next 20 years.
Kyocera Group companies are making progress toward achieving the CO2 reduction target of the Kyocera Group as a whole- Greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2*) reduction target (1.5℃-level): Reduce by 46% by FY2031 (compared to FY2020 levels).
The installation of this renewable energy reflects our commitment to pursue a harmonious balance between economic development and environmental preservation. This is also in line with our goal of providing environmentally friendly products in the market that are both energy efficient and require less component replacement.
We aim to achieve 100% renewable energy at all Kyocera Document Solutions Group sites by FY2031 with promoting the installation of solar power generation systems at other sites in the United States and other regions globally and obtaining environmental value certificates.
