Kyocera develops the subtitle display system "Cotopat Series" and starts sales in Japan
Kyocera Document Solutions Inc.(President:Hironori Ando; hereinafter:Kyocera) started sales in Japan in August 2023 of Cotopat Screen, a subtitle display system that recognizes spoken words in real time and displays characters, illustrations, and videos on the screen in order to eliminate difficulty in listening to conversations and facilitate communication. In addition to the Cotopat Screen, we are pleased to announce the launch of the portable tablet model "Cotopat Mobile" in Japan.
Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the number of people with hearing impairments and elderly who are concerned about communication has increased due to difficulties in hearing through masks and acrylic boards. Since 2021, Kyocera has been engaged in R & D of this product to solve these problems.
Cotopat allows you to talk while watching the other person's facial expressions, so the speaker can communicate information smoothly. Therefore, this product contributes to the improvement of service and reduction of response time in the window service of various industries.
