Kyocera Document Solutions Inc.(President:Hironori Ando) is pleased to announce that the solar power generation system installed at Hirakata(Osaka) and Tamaki(Mie) Plants in Japan is now fully activated.

It is estimated that the installation of this photovoltaic power generation system can supply approximately 1.9GWh of electricity annually at both plants, covering approximately 11% of the electricity used. This is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 860 tons (equivalent to 61,714 trees*) per year. The company has been installing solar power generation systems at its headquarters in the United States and at its Vietnam Plant. Promoting the adoption of renewable energy reflects our company's commitment to simultaneously promote economic development and environmental protection.

The Kyocera Group has established long-term environmental targets to address climate change. Specifically, we aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% from the fiscal 2019 levels by the fiscal 2030. In addition, all Kyocera Group companies are working to achieve carbon neutrality by the fiscal 2050, which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 0.
