KYOCERA Document Solutions Italia S.p.A. (Managing Director: Noriyuki Nakatani) announces that it will sponsor the exhibition THE GENTLEMAN ― Stile e gioielli al maschile, held at the Palazzo Morando museum in Milan from Friday, January 16, 2026, through Sunday, September 27, 2026, a nine-month period, and that decorative pieces printed and produced using our inkjet textile printer “FOREARTH” will be on display. The decorations were printed at the FOREARTH Experience Studio showroom in Milan, where visitors can experience FOREARTH’s concept and performance.
The exhibition reevaluates the historical evolution of male aesthetics and decorative culture, tracing the role of jewelry in shaping men’s style from the 18th century to the present. It presents jewelry not only as ornamentation but also as a symbol of social status and individuality—through goldsmithing, accessories, and other objects—illustrating how the idea of the “gentleman” has been expressed and transformed in each era.
The decorations printed with FOREARTH
Within the exhibition cases, decorative elements printed by FOREARTH evoke period motifs and enhance the visibility and appeal of the displayed items. Compared with conventional analog dye-based printing, FOREARTH reduces water usage to virtually zero*1 and significantly lowers CO2 emissions, contributing to a reduced environmental footprint. Its high-resolution printing faithfully reproduces the complex textures and color nuances found in paintings and historical photographs. The displays are designed so visitors can enjoy a journey from the past to the present, creating a cohesive, immersive experience throughout the venue.

1)Water Free Concept
Because FOREARTH can reduce water usage in textile printing to virtually zero*1, it eliminates the need for the large pre- and post-treatment machines and steamers required by conventional dye-based printing, thereby contributing to substantial reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
2)Creative Free
Proprietary pigment ink realizes both soft hand-feel prints and high fastness in a wide range of fabrics. The water-based pigment inks and the pre- and post-treatment solutions have obtained Eco Passport*2 certification, an international certification program for the safety and environmental impact of textile products.
3)Location Free
Textile printing does not rely on water resources, so it supports optimized production volumes and optimized manufacturing location setting and contributes to the reduction of logistic costs, time, and excess inventories.
As "FOREARTH" dramatically reduces water usage in textile printing next to zero, it does not require separate facilities such as for steaming and washing needed in pre- and post-treatment processes of conventional textile printing. This will also contribute to a significant reduction in energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, it achieves a soft texture maintaining softness of the fabric that are important in the textile and apparel industries, and enables high-definition printing on a wide range of fabrics such as cotton, silk, polyester, nylon, and blended fabrics.
| *1 | FOREARTH has a two-step printing and drying process. No water is used in the printing process based on the concept of "WATER FREE". Kyocera focuses on reducing water usage not only for the printing process but also for the maintenance process. FOREARTH also recycles cleaning water used for the conveyor belt with filters resulting in water consumption per 1kg of fabric reduced to 0.02L (Based on Kyocera research in 2022). |
| *2 | Eco Passport certification demonstrates that textile products meet testing standards for hazardous substances and guarantees that they are safe and reliable. |
