Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. announced the opening of the “FOREARTH Experience Studio Japan” (hereinafter “the Studio”) on May 12, 2026 at its headquarters site in Osaka. The Studio enables visitors to experience textile printing using FOREARTH, the company’s sustainable digital textile inkjet printer.
Following the opening of the FOREARTH Experience Studio in Milan, Italy, in April 2025, this marks the second such facility worldwide and the first dedicated FOREARTH showroom in Japan.
Opening ceremony
■ An Experiential Showroom for the Domestic Market
At the Studio, visitors can explore the actual FOREARTH system on-site and observe live demonstrations. In addition to evaluating print quality and productivity, customers can gain a clear understanding of operational workflows after implementation.
The Studio also provides a print sample creation service, optimizing printing conditions on the actual machine based on customer-specific requirements. Inside the facility, a variety of fabric samples are displayed, showcasing new expressions and possibilities in textile printing.
■ Simplified Processes Enable Space-Saving, Flexible Production
Conventional textile printing methods require large installation spaces and involve pre- and post-processing steps that consume significant amounts of water, creating high barriers in terms of both investment and location.
FOREARTH addresses these challenges by eliminating such processes and adopting a simplified workflow centered on printing and drying. This innovation significantly reduces the number of production steps, lowers environmental impact, and enables shorter lead times.
Additionally, FOREARTH allows printing on various types of fabrics without the need to switch inks, supporting flexible production from small lots to multi-variety orders. This enables stable operation within a compact footprint, making it possible to establish the Studio at the company’s central Osaka headquarters.
■A Hub for Proposal Activities and Co-Creation
The Studio serves not only as a showroom for Kyocera’s new business, the FOREARTH digital textile printer, but also as a hub for sales activities, solution proposals, sample production, and hands-on training. Furthermore, it is positioned as a co-creation base where feedback from the Japanese market is incorporated into product development and business strategy.
Through the FOREARTH Experience Studio Japan, Kyocera Document Solutions aims to expand the possibilities of textile printing while achieving both reduced environmental impact and enhanced productivity. The company will continue to contribute to the realization of sustainable manufacturing in the apparel and textile industries.
