Security Vulnerability in our printer driver KX Driver
Kyocera Document Solutions has identified a security vulnerability in the printer driver software, KX Driver, which is used to enable the functions of our multifunction devices and printers.
The details of the vulnerability and the available countermeasure are provided below. As of the date of this notice, no attacks exploiting this vulnerability have been confirmed.
Vulnerability description
A DLL loading vulnerability exists in the KX Driver installer. An attacker may be able to execute arbitrary code with the same privileges as the user running the installer.
Countermeasures
To address this vulnerability, we have released KX Driver version 8.6A.1412, which includes a fix for this issue.
Please install the latest version of the driver.
