Environmental Management System
The Kyocera Group has established an organization under the direction of the president that is designed to promote environmental management and implement environmental policies with an aim of actively working on environmental initiatives grounded in its management rationale and continuously improving its environmental performance. Kyocera Document Solutions works under this organization, and all of its six locations, including two overseas plants, have acquired integrated ISO 14001 certification through the Kyocera Group.

We are ISO 14001-certified at our four locations in Japan and 33 locations outside Japan.

Environmental and Safety Audit
Qualified employees who have been certified by the company are appointed as auditors to conduct internal environmental and safety audits every year. These audits ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to the environment and safety, as well as the effectiveness of our environmental management system and occupational safety and health management system.
The environment and safety officer at our head office conducts environment and safety inspections at our business sites in Japan as well as production and logistics sites outside Japan to assess the management of environmental equipment, production floors, waste storage areas, chemical substance storage areas, etc., with the aim of ensuring the environment is protected.
Environmental and Safety Training
Working with the aim of ensuring that environmental and safety management is properly implemented and maintained, we conduct appropriate environmental and safety training and awareness-raising in adherence with our educational standards, while giving due consideration to the nature of each job and level of knowledge and skills required.

| Worker training | We provide education and training to employees who handle chemical substances on the job and employees who engage in operations based on standard operating procedures. |
| Competency training | We provide education and training to employees engaged in operations that could potentially have a significant environmental impact and operations that might have a significant impact on occupational health and safety. Employees who are legally required to hold qualifications for environmental and safety management of a business site participate in relevant seminars, etc. that are designed to enhance their skills. |
| Certification training | We provide certification training for internal environmental and safety auditors to bolster our internal environmental and safety audit system. We also provide regular refresher training courses to ensure our internal auditors' skills do not diminish. Employees who are legally required to hold qualifications for environmental and safety management of a business site participate in relevant seminars, etc. that are designed to enhance their skills. |
