Social Contribution Activity Policy
1. KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. aims to fulfill its social responsibility as a company by supporting voluntary social contribution activities carried out by employees free of charge. We also expect these activities to enhance the personal development of our employees. As an institution fulfilling our social responsibility as a company, we have established a Social Contribution Committee to engage in these activities, not as profit-driven endeavors.
2. KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. engages in social contribution activities regardless of specific requirements when the company deems it necessary to directly contribute to society.
Main activities
Donating Christmas Gifts to Children
United StatesChile
The United States has been participating in the charitable program "Toys for Tots" since 2005, which involves donating toys as Christmas presents to underprivileged children. In 2022, we also donated toys provided by our employees.
In addition, Chile donated Christmas presents provided by employees to "Fundación Mi Casa," an organization that protects children who have experienced domestic violence. These presents will be given to the children through the nonprofit organization.
In the Philippines and the United Kingdom, employees also provided gifts to local elementary schools and children in difficult circumstances.
Supporting the Sale of Bread and Cookies at a Sheltered Workshop
Hirakata Plant
At the Global Headquarters and the Hirakata Plant, we support individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and work as professionals by producing and selling bread and cookies. Through this initiative, they can experience the joy of work and collaborate in a positive and vibrant environment.
Supporting the activities of the Osaka City Child Welfare Facility Federation
The Global Headquarters supports the activities of the Osaka City Child Welfare Facility Federation by dispatching volunteers to various sports events and providing lectures on "Essential Skills for New Members of Society" at training seminars organized by the federation for students transitioning from junior high school and high school to the workforce.

Conducting Special Science Classes
The Global Headquarters has been participating in the special science classes conducted by the Osaka City Board of Education since FY 2009. The class consists of two sessions: in the first session, our employees serve as lecturers and give a presentation to the children about using static electricity for copying. In the second session, the children get a hands-on experience with a homemade device that allows them to make copies.
Implementation of Workplace Experience Learning
As part of our social contribution activities, the Tamaki and Hirakata Plants accept students for workplace experience learning. This program aims to deepen junior high school student's understanding of the significance of work and their appreciation for various job roles by allowing them to have hands-on experience with on-site operations within the plant. They get the opportunity to experience tasks such as quality inspections of parts and products.
Conducting Meetings to Discuss Ideas Proposed by Junior High School Students for Achieving SDGs
The Global Headquarters conducted an idea meeting with students from Hiraoka Nagao Nishi Junior High School to discuss their ideas for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of the educational program for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, there is a project called Junior EXPO, which focuses on investigating the efforts of companies and organizations towards the SDGs. We received a request for cooperation in this area from the school. The meeting began with the students presenting their ideas on addressing global warming, and our attending employees provided various improvement suggestions. Additionally, our employees gave a presentation on the SDGs initiatives carried out by the Kyocera Group.
Awarding Scholarships to Students at Vietnam Maritime University
The Vietnam Plant aims to support the development of talent that will lead Vietnam's next generation. As part of this initiative, we have been awarding scholarships to students at Vietnam Maritime University in Haiphong City since 2013. So far, we have awarded scholarships to 41 students.
Conducting a cleanup activity at the site of Tamaru Castle ruins
The Tamaki Plant participates in the Tamaru Castle Ruins Clean Operation, which is organized by Tamaki Town in spring and autumn each year, together with the labor union. This clean operation aims to protect and nurture the Tamaru Castle ruins, which are a historical and cultural heritage of Tamaki Town, with the participation of all town residents. Alongside participants from other organizations and companies in the town, we engage in activities such as grass cutting and cleaning.
Cooperating in Blood Donation Activities
Letter of appreciation from the Philippine Red Cross
We cooperate in blood donation not only within Japan, at locations such as the Global Headquarters and the Hirakata Plant, but also outside of Japan, including the Vietnam Plant, Hong Kong, Philippines, South Africa, and various European countries such as Austria, Spain, and Portugal.
In addition, in the Philippines, we received a letter of appreciation from the Philippine Red Cross for our cooperation in blood donation.
Year-end Mutual Aid Fundraising Campaign
Our sites in Japan and Kyocera Document Solutions Japan conduct a year-end mutual aid fundraising campaign every December. This fundraising campaign is based on the desire to support those in need and show compassion towards others. Donations are made to local social welfare councils near each office, along with the heartfelt contributions from employees.
Furthermore, at the Vietnam Plant, an internal mutual aid fundraising campaign is organized among employees before the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. The funds collected, combined with contributions from the plant and labor union, are used to donate essential items to nearby orphanages, schools for the deaf, and schools for the blind.

Other Social Contribution Activities
In the United States, six employees participated in the activities of "Habitat for Humanity," a charitable organization dedicated to "building homes where people can live safely and securely."
In the Netherlands, nine employees took part in a sports event aimed at supporting facilities for families of children undergoing long-term hospitalization due to illness. They assisted in setting up checkpoints for a bicycle road race and provided breakfast for the participants.
In support of the victims of the "Turkey-Syria earthquake" that occurred in February 2023, employees from Portugal and Turkey donated food and clothing.
