Social Contribution Activities
Lying at the heart of everything we do at Kyocera Document Solutions is the concept of "Living Together." We value our connections with our society, our global community, and nature and wish to contribute to the advancement of society and humankind. All our Group companies are engaged in social contribution activities across the globe, such as environmental conservation and youth development, based on our belief that these connections will enrich our hearts.
Social Contribution Activity Policy
- 1. KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. aims to fulfill its social responsibility as a company by supporting voluntary social contribution activities carried out by employees free of charge. We also expect these activities to enhance the personal development of our employees. As an institution fulfilling our social responsibility as a company, we have established a Social Contribution Committee to engage in these activities, not as profit-driven endeavors.
- 2. KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. engages in social contribution activities regardless of specific requirements when the company deems it necessary to directly contribute to society.
Main activities
Donation of Christmas Gifts to Children
U.S. Sales Company has been participating in the charitable program "Toys for Tots" since 2005, which involves donating toys as Christmas presents to underprivileged children. In 2023, we also donated toys provided by our employees.
In addition, in the Netherlands, we collected toys and clothing from employees and donated them to "Terre des hommes," a charity organization that works to protect children from poverty, violence, and exploitation.
Conducting Special Science Classes

The Global Headquarters has been participating in the special science classes conducted by the Osaka City Board of Education since FY 2009. The class consists of two sessions: in the first session, our employees serve as lecturers and give a presentation to the children about using static electricity for copying. In the second session, the children get a hands-on experience with a homemade device that allows them to make copies.
Supporting the Sale of Bread and Cookies at a Sheltered Workshop
The Global Headquarters and the Hirakata Plant supports individuals with disabilities to work as productive members of society, enabling them to gain independence and work with fulfillment and camaraderie by producing and selling bread and cookies, and generating profits.

Implementation of Workplace Experience Learning

As part of our social contribution activities, the Global Headquarters and Hirakata Plant accept students for workplace experience learning. This program aims to deepen junior high school student's understanding of the significance of work and their appreciation for various job roles by allowing them to have hands-on experience with on-site operations within the plant. They get the opportunity to experience tasks such as quality inspections of parts and products.
Conducting a cleanup activity at the site of Tamaru Castle ruins
The Tamaki Plant participates in the Tamaru Castle Ruins Clean Operation, which is organized by Tamaki Town in spring and autumn each year, together with the labor union. This clean operation aims to protect and nurture the Tamaru Castle ruins, which are a historical and cultural heritage of Tamaki Town, with the participation of all town residents. Alongside participants from other organizations and companies in the town, we engage in activities such as grass cutting and cleaning.

Support for Local Sports Event

The Hirakata Plant provides support for the sports event "Fureai Sports Exchange Meeting," which involves individuals with disabilities residing or working in Hirakata City. Six employees participated as staff members and were responsible for materials management, assisting to ensure the smooth progression of the exchange meeting.
Year-end Mutual Aid Fundraising Activity
Our sites in Japan conduct a year-end mutual aid fundraising activity every December. This fundraising activity is based on the desire to support those in need and show compassion towards others. Donations are made to local social welfare councils near each office, along with the heartfelt contributions from employees.
Furthermore, at the Vietnam Plant, an internal mutual aid fundraising activity is organized among employees before the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. The funds collected, combined with contributions from the plant and labor union, are used to donate essential items to nearby orphanages, schools for the deaf, and schools for the blind.

Cooperating in Blood Donation Activities
We cooperate in blood donation not only within Japan, at locations such as the Global Headquarters and the Hirakata Plant, but also outside of Japan, including Spain and Hong Kong.
Speaking at a Health Management Seminar
Hirakata City requested the Hirakata Plant, a member of the "Hirakata Health Excellent Companies," to present examples of health initiatives. In response, the plant gave a presentation on the theme of "Complete Smoking Ban in the Plant."
Conducting Roadside Clean-up Activities
In China, employees cleaned approximately 1.2 kilometers of road from the Shanghai office to the Suzhou River.
